Thugs punch boy and steal bike

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was punched in the face by two youths who then stole his pedal cycle in Ramsgate. The youngster was cycling near town's swimming pool in Newington Road when two older boys crossed the road and approached him.

One punched him in the face and pushed him off the bike. They stole the machine bike and rode off. The Saracen mountain bike is worth about £350. It is silver and black with red writing on the frame.

The swimming pool was still open at the time of the attack and police hope someone using it or the busy Newington Road may have seen the incident. The boys are both white, and aged around 16. They are both about 5ft 10in tall.

One had short black hair and a spotty face.

He was wearing a white Nike baseball cap and white trainers. The second youth had short brown hair and was wearing a dark blue baseball cap and dark blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Margate police.
