Thumbs-up for Hyundai's supermini

HYUNDAI'S all-new Getz supermini has won approval from CAP Auto Monitor, an influential authority when it comes to predictions of resale values for cars.

CAP Auto Monitor stated that the Getz, which went on sale last week, will give its typical competitors (such as the Volkswagen Polo and Toyota Yaris) a run for their money when it comes to running costs and future resale values.

And Hyundai’s pioneering five year manufacturer-backed, unlimited mileage across-the-range warranty (the UK’s first), will help enhance the whole Getz experience, according to CAP.

CAP has calculated the ownership cost of a Hyundai Getz to be just 16.5p a mile over three years and 60,000 miles.

This is a highly favourable figure when compared to the likes of the Peugeot 206, Renault Clio and Vauxhall Corsa.

Getz prices start at £6,995 on-the-road for the 1.1 GSi three-door, rising to £10,145 for the 1.6 CDX five-door and 1.6 Sport three-door.

All models come with anti-lock brakes, CD player, driver and passenger airbags and electric front windows as standard.
