Manager Tommy Warrilow says agreeing a new two-year contract at Tonbridge reflects the stability the club need as they embark on the new challenge of Blue Square Bet South football next season.

Chairman Steve Churcher revealed the news of the deal at the club’s promotion celebration night last week.

Warrilow (pictured) said: "It’s nice and I was happy to commit. It also sends a message to players as well, that we are not looking to chop and change.

"It’s the first time that I will start the season with a recognised squad, as I am looking to keep the majority of the players, and only bring in a couple of new faces."

Tim Olorunda is Warrilow’s first signing, returning from Hastings, and reuniting with younger brother Ade. Warrilow said: "I needed cover in the holding midfield role, and Tim is a big strong lad who can also play at right-back and centre-half."

Experienced defender Ben Judge signed a new one-year deal this week and Warrilow added: "He was key to our success and I hope he will be as instrumental next season."

Midfielder Sam Jones is returning to America, while Warrilow has moved to clarify the position regarding defenders Scott Gooding and John Beales, who have both had knee problems. He has not included the pair in his budget, but says the door is still open to them.
