Tonbridge High Street has re-opened 26 hours after a crash following a police chase - but repair work will continue.
The road was shut since a young man was injured in the smash, which led to a fuel spillage, at about 2.30am on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old local man, who was driving a red Peugeot 306 that hit a lamp post, is now in a stable condition in hospital.
Kent Police said officers had attempted to stop the vehicle after reports of a traffic offence before it crashed.
Motorists experienced delays and diversions yesterday as the road had to be closed ahead of being resurfaced overnight.
Kent Highways said the High Street re-opened at about 5.30am on Thursday, but repairs to a pedestrian crossing damaged in the crash will continue.
Kent Police said officers are continuing to investigate the crash.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit closed off the road between Bordyke Road and Vale Road.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area yesterday, with diversions via Cannon Lane Industrial Estate.
