Dartford manager Tony Burman says he will wait until after the next two games have passed before deciding where to strengthen his squad.
Burman has money to spend thanks to Dartford’s windfall from the Cody McDonald transfer to Coventry, and has kept a squad space free for a new arrival to boost his side’s Blue Square Bet South promotion chances.
However, he revealed he has been waiting to complete 10 games before deciding whether to improve his defence, which has the second best record in the league, his widely-respected midfield or his front line, led by red-hot nine-goal striker Charlie Sheringham (pictured).
Burman said: “We will sit down after 10 games and see where we can improve. I’ve said all along I have 17 in my squad and I have room for 18. We are looking at the situation, but I’m not in any rush to do anything right now.
“It’s difficult because we obviously only want to bring in players who would improve us and we have already got a very strong squad with good players on the bench who want to play and be a part of what we are doing.”
