Gillingham defender Tony Sinclair could be a doubt for Saturday’s visit of Bury after picking up an injury in a practice match.

The Gills travelled to Millwall’s training ground in Bromley for a match to give fringe players and youth members a run-out.

Sinclair (pictured), who played most of Gillingham’s game at Crewe on Saturday, lasted just 22 minutes against Millwall after turning his ankle.

He was one of a handful of senior players included in the game.

Lance Cronin, Dean Rance, Mark Bentley, Dennis Oli, Andy White, Stefan Payne and Luke Rooney all featured in the match.

The Gills lost the match 2-1 with their goal coming late in the game through young striker White.

Tuesday’s match also featured trialist midfielder Jordan Hibbert, who played the full 90 minutes.

Gills: Cronin, Evans, J Brown (Benniman 64mins), Rance (A Brown 46mins), Brunt, Sinclair (Parter 23mins), Hibbert, Bentley, Oli (White 46mins), S Payne (Nyafli 64mins), Rooney
