Gillingham’s leading scorer Simeon Jackson (pictured right) insists that without a Wembley win on Saturday his goals will mean nothing to him.

Jackson’s double in the vital 2-1 play-off semi-final win over Rochdale took his personal tally to 20 for the season but without promotion he feels the achievement will have been worthless.

He said: "It’s a good milestone to achieve and it’s good to get that but if you go to Wembley and don’t get the result it means nothing.

"It wouldn’t be complete. After everything we’ve done up to this point it would mean nothing so we have to get ourselves across the line now."

Jackson, who was born in Jamaica and grew up in Canada, has yet to play at Wembley and he’s thrilled to be getting the chance.

"When you see it on TV you see that the big games are all at Wembley and there is always a good atmosphere - it was always a place that stood out."
