Five cars have been involved in an accident in the Medway Tunnel today.

Police were called to the Gillingham stretch of the tunnel shortly before 9am.

Initial reports suggested two cars had collided, but officers now say five cars are involved.

One person has been injured, but it is not clear how seriously. Motorists are facing traffic delays on the Strood side of the tunnel.
