Tragedy as train hits man on crossing

A MAN died when he was struck by a train while crossing a railway line in Kent.

British Transport Police officers were called to the scene at the Shornmead Crossing, which lies on the line between Strood and Higham. The incident happened at about 10.20am on Thursday.
