Tragedy strikes at village cricket match

A FATHER of four children has collapsed and died while playing for a village cricket team.

Paul Harvey, 51, of Walderslade, Chatham, was one of Blue Bell Hill Cricket Club's best batsmen. He had just finished bowling an over in a match against New Ifield Ist team when the tragedy happened. The game was abandoned.

It is understood that Mr Harvey's younger brother, Colin, collapsed and died suddenly last year.

For a while Mr Harvey had his own business building false ceilings, but in recent years worked as a contracts manager for a company in the same field. He also leaves a widow, Helen.
