An inquest jury has recorded suicide verdicts on three tragic deaths on the same railway crossing in Whitstable.
The separate hearings this week heard evidence about ice cream shop owner Jan Graham, tea shop proprietor Anthony Sait and artist Anne Nacci, who all lived in the town.
The deaths, which happened within the space of two months, are not linked but were in near identical circumstances at the same location on the Glebe Way foot crossing.
Mrs Graham (pictured), 54, who ran Sundae Sundae, was killed on December 27 last year after walking in front of a train.
The jury heard that she had been battling alcoholism which had worsened when her husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
She had also left a note for her son which read 'My dearest Tom, Be all you can and here's my watch'.
The jury recorded a verdict that she had taken her own life.
Anne Nacci, from Clifton Road, died sometime between 11pm on January 17 and 5.15am on January 18.
The 54-year-old mother-of-three had been suffering from anxiety and depression following worries over her marriage, finances and future.
She died from multiple injuries consistent with being hit by a train.
Anthony Sait, 40, who ran the Tudor Tea Rooms in Harbour Street, died on February 21, also from multiple injuries.
Police enquiries revealed he had been having an affair which he feared his wife and children were about to discover.
He had become increasingly anxious and on the morning of his death texted his wife, Carolyn to say, 'I'm sorry I let you all down - love you all.'
Moments later he stepped out in front of the train and was killed instantly.
The driver Ian Leadbetter told the inquest that said he believed Mr Sait had deliberately walked and stood in front of his train.
The jury also recorded a verdict that he had taken his own life.
