Major engineering work could affect travel to Rochester Sweeps' Festival this bank holiday weekend.
Buses will replace trains between Strood, Meopham and Gillingham all weekend, pushing passengers onto roads already crowded with festival traffic.
More than 30,000 people are expected to attend the iconic festival which sees special events and concerts staged across Rochester.
Many rely on train services to get to the town, as the roads quickly become choked and parking near-impossible.
Steve Barker, of S and J News, said: "Can you believe that there is no full train service through Rochester in one of the busiest weekends of the year, the Sweeps festival?
"We only need three weekends a year free."
But it's not just Medway set to feel the effect of the engineering works.
From Saturday until Monday, trains between London and Hastings will start from London Bridge, and will be diverted via East Croydon and Redhill, not stopping at Orpington or Sevenoaks.
Additional services will run between New Cross and Tonbridge, via Orpington and Sevenoaks.
And on Monday, work to improve signaling equipment will affect trains in east Kent.
Services between London Cannon Street and Ramsgate and Dover will be diverted via Maidstone East.
