Most trains are back up and running after a person was hit by a train at Sandling near Folkestone.

Services were cancelled or diverted via Canterbury West earlier, and trains weren't stopping between Ashford International and Dover Priory.

But most services are back to normal now, with trains not stopping at Sandling.

A replacement bus service has been put in place.

A British Transport Police spokesman said officers were called to the line just after 8am today.

He added: “Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended but the person, believed to be a man, was declared dead at the scene.

“The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

The train involved was an Ashford International to Dover Priory service.
