FIVE travellers have been ordered to move off council land this afternoon.

Police spotted the five caravans and accompanying cars in a Keston car park this morning.

Officers spent the day urging the travellers to leave the site in Padmall Wood, having served them a section 61 order under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act.

The act prohibits people trespassing on land with the purpose of residing there for any length of time.

After pressure from the police the cohort of vehicles left the area at around 2pm.
