THE parents of a teenager killed in a car crash have paid tribute to their talented son.
Adam Letchford-Johnson, 19, from Ash Road, Hawley, near Dartford, was a passenger in a car involved in a head-on crash on December 29.
In a statement issued through Kent Police, his parents said he had recently started working at the Abbott Laboratories in Queenborough on Sheppey as a lab technician.
He had passed his A-Levels last summer at North Kent West College.
The statement said: "Adam loved music and had recently been to see The Prodigy in concert with a friend, Alex Spooner. He played the guitar very well and played in a band at Hextable School."
Adam's father, Deryck, said: "Other than music, he loved his car, a black Fiesta, and his Playstation. I taught Adam to drive and as a driving instructor myself I was so proud when he passed his test first time in April 2005.
"Adam was a happy, clever young man. He was popular with his friends and met his girlfriend through his sister, Sophie."
Adam's mother, Carole, said: “He enjoyed having fun and we have lots of photos of Adam pulling funny faces.
"Adam will always be missed, along with his guitar playing, his funny faces and his happiness."
The crash, involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Ford Focus happened at Green Street Green Road, Dartford, between Gore Road and the M25.
The 20-year-old driver of the Corsa in which Adam was a passenger, and a 35-year-old man driving the Focus, were both injured and taken to hospital.
