FAMILY and and friends have paid touching tributes to a young mother who died in a road accident.
The 17-year-old girl was knocked down by a lorry as she tried to cross the main access road to Medway City Estate at Strood.
A group of family and friends gathered around the accident scene at the weekend and spent time remembering their loved one.
Police have not yet released the identity of the girl, but all the tributes were in memory of Michaela Jayne. She is believed to have worked on the estate and is the mother of a 10-month-old baby boy. She lived in Chatham.
She was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital after the accident last Wednesday afternoon but died of her injuries a short time later.
Flowers and other tributes, including the fluffy bunny toy, carried moving messages.
One read: "To Mummy, I miss you, all my love Levi xxx."
Another said: "To my darling precious Michaela Jayne, sweet dreams and just remember I am always with you always darling."
Meanwhile, the tragedy continues to cause anger and worry among many business people and employees on the estate. Many have expressed their concern over the lack of road safety measures on the estate, especially Anthonys Way, which is the main access to the estate.
