THREE men have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a supermarket petrol station yesterday afternoon.

Police say a man stole a cash box from a security guard just after 2pm from the Tesco petrol station between Gravesend Road and Brompton Farm Road, Rochester.

The man escaped empty-handed in a silver Vauxhall Astra, which was abandoned nearby.

Witness reports suggest one of the robbers was carrying a small firearm, but no shots were fired and there were no injuries.
