THREE people who died when the car they were travelling in crashed off the M20 on Saturday have been identified by police.

The trio - Roger Martin, 56, Alan Watson, 54, and 51-year-old Kim Sumner - were killed when a blue Ford Focus left the road near Wrotham. All three were from the Huddersfield area.

The crash happened on the London-bound carriageway between junctions 1 and 2 at about 4.50am on Saturday.

The car was found in a field a few hundred yards from the road.

Two other women in the car survived the crash with less serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved.

The road was closed for about five hours causing long delays for other motorists.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to call their serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538.
