A thug deliberately ran over his sister’s foot in his truck after they argued in the street over money, a court heard.
Janet Jones, 62, heard a sickening crack and suffered a broken ankle as she lay on the ground.
“He whacked it in reverse and ran over my foot without a second thought,” she told a jury.
Philip Armstrong, of Glebe Farm, Duck Lane, Shadoxhurst, was jailed for 18 months after he was convicted on Friday of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
He was cleared of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He denied both charges.
Maidstone Crown Court heard Mrs Jones was the executor of her mother’s estate and responsible for a house in The Limes, Ashford.
Armstrong, 57, moved into the property in November 2008 and she collected rent from him.
Edmund Fowler, prosecuting, said Armstrong decided to move out last summer and Mrs Jones went to the house on July 2 to sort out the paperwork.
But a row started after she told Armstrong he owed some money and he demanded £250 paid as a deposit.
Armstrong became angry. She decided to leave and went to her Mercedes car. Armstrong followed and snatched the keys from the ignition.
He told her to “get the money round tonight”, adding: “If you don’t, you will be sorry. Mark my words, you will be sorry.”
Mrs Jones got out of the car and Armstrong grabbed at her bag.
The strap snapped, spilling the contents on the road.
He put her in a headlock and she tried to bite him. She was shouting for help.
She went back to her car but her brother grabbed her folders.
She went to retrieve them and Armstrong threw her to the ground.
“I was quite winded,” said Mrs Jones. “Philip was in the van. My right foot was under the van and the other foot was sort of bent.
“He could clearly see my foot was by the driver’s wheel. I said: 'If you move you vehicle you are going to run my foot or leg over.
“He said: 'Well, move the bloody thing then.’” He then ran over her ankle.
“I knew it was broken because I heard it crack when the wheel went over it,” she said. “It was immensely painful.”
