A lorry driver has been accused of killing a Margate postman died cycling to work.

Mick Garner, of Birds Avenue, Margate, was injured after a crash with a lorry on Marine Terrace early on May 14.

The 61-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, where he later died.

Steven Hole, 45, of Farm Avenue in Swanley, was charged with causing death by careless driving yesterday.

He is due to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court on November 1.
