TWO people have been killed in crashes on the county's roads.

A lorry driver died early today when his vehicle crashed on the A2 Jubilee Way at Dover. It is thought the driver was a foreign national.

No other vehicles were involved. The accident happened at about 3.30am.

Police closed the road in both directions and drivers heading for Dover were asked to use the A20 as an alternative route.

On Sunday afternoon a woman died after the car she was travelling in left the Thanet Way near Faversham. It happened at about 2pm close to the Brenley Corner roundabout.

A man and two children escaped from the car with minor injuries and were taken to the QEQM hospital at Margate.

A crash investigation team carried out work at the scene and fire crews were called to cut the dead woman from the vehicle.

It is not yet known if other vehicles were involved.
