Now it feels like we are ready for the summer Kent concerts. Bob Dylan will headline the Hop Farm Music Festival this year.

It is true that last year’s main act, Prince, would take some beating, but organisers have managed to entice another legend to the county.

Not only a singer-songwriter, Bob is an artist who has been an influence to many budding musicians for the last five decades. One of his biggest tunes, Blowing in the Wind, will have the whole festival singing.

If you are a Dylan fan, I highly recommend you listen to his son Jakob’s band, The Wallflowers.

In particular, their Bringing Down the Horse is exceptional. And you can hear he is his father’s son as soon as you hear a song called One Headlight.

Also featuring on the festival line-up at the Hop Farm is Peter Gabriel, Suede, Damien Rice – who had those beautiful songs Cannonball and The Blower’s Daughter – and 1980s legend Billy Ocean. Now I know for a fact that there will be dancing to Get Outta My Dreams Get Into My Car. How could you not?
