Happy New Year! As Christmas decorations and pigs in blankets are now on special offer, we must already be in full swing for 2012.

Coming soon on kmfm is your chance to win a seven-night Mediterranean cruise for two on the Triple Play Getaway. Start to imagine those golden sands, quaint fishing villages and the sunshine. It will be a holiday you will never forget, so check your passport is still in date, just in case.

The Winning Weekends are back too. You could be seeing Olly Murs and JLS.

Remember the large crowds which formed outside the studio from the early hours when The Wanted visited kmfm? We are giving you more of the boyband in 2012 and kicking it off by offering listners the chance to see the boys live in concert very soon. We will send you to see them perform their biggest hits so make sure you keep listening.

The return of Steps surprised us all. It worked and they are all friends again. Their comeback sent their re-packaged Greatest Hits to No1 in the album charts, so we are sending you to see the guys live. Stay tuned for more.

kmfm has a whole heap of great new songs coming your way soon, along with the classics you love from the 1980s and 1990s. Expect some fresh new talent coming forward, too.

It’s been a brilliant year for Jessie J, a really popular artist on kmfm. You will have heard her latest single Who You Are, and her duet with James Morrison, Up, really shows off her vocal ability. Jessie’s breakthrough hit, Price Tag, has been announced as the most watched music video on YouTube in 2011.

If you want to know what was the most watched video last year, type Ultimate Dog Tease into the video-sharing website. Enjoy.

While on the subject of social media, you can follow me on Facebook.
