Two cars collided in Rainham this afternoon, partially closing the road for about an hour.

The crash happened at about 4.15pm in Mierscourt Road near the junction with Bayswater Drive, but no one is thought to have been injured.

A spokesman for Medway Police said: "Two vehicles crashed and the road became partially blocked, but traffic was able to get past the crash scene.

"The vehicles were not drivable and officers were directing traffic past the scene."

The road was closed for a short time at about 5.15pm to allow the vehicles to be recovered.
