Two people have been cut free from cars following separate crashes within minutes of each other last night.

Fire crews were called to a two-vehicle smash in Burnham Road, Dartford, at 8.30pm.

They freed a young woman on a spinal board by using hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof before she was treated by paramedics.

Just five minutes later, a man was rescued when his car overturned in Cranbrook Road, Benenden.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said crews were at the scene of both crashes until around 9pm.
