TWO people were killed last night when a Peugeot 405 car was in a collision with a tree in Ringlestone Road, Harrietsham, near Maidstone.

Police said the victims were a man aged about 30 and a teenage girl. They have still to be formally identified.

Firefighters from Lenham, Charing and Maidstone were called to the scene of the accident, which happened just before 11.20pm.

Police are investigating the accident and are appealing for witnesses to contact PC Tony Howland on 01622 608061.
