The scene of last week's crash on the same road

Two men have been cut from the wreckage of a car after a two-car crash in Sturry this afternoon.

The men, both thought to be in their 50s, were cut free after the car they were travelling in crashed with another vehicle in Calcott Hill.

Fire crews spent an hour freeing the men from 1.30pm.

Police and ambulance crews also attended, but there were no other injuries reported.

The crash comes just a week after a young driver was left in a critical condition after his car hit a tree and overturned on the same road.

Three other passengers also suffered serious injuries in the crash which happened on Sunday, August 20.
