TWO men were injured, one seriously, when the car they were travelling in left the road and crashed into trees on the A21 at Lamberhurst.

The pair were trapped in the blue BMW snd had to be freed by the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

Police said one man was taken to Maidstone Hospital with serious injuries and the other to the Kent and Sussex Hospital at Tunbridge Wells with minor injuries.

The crash happened just before 1pm on Tuesday about a mile past the south roundabout near the by-pass.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and was re-opened at about 4pm.
