TWO students were shot at, in two separate incidents on the same day, with what police think was a BB gun.
The students were walking though the Sir John Hawkins car park, next to the flyover in Chatham, at different times of the day, when they were targeted by the sniper.
The first incident happened between 4.15pm and 4.20pm on Thursday, May 12.
An 18-year-old student, who lives in Rochester, had just parked her car and was buying a ticket when she heard a whooshing sound to her left. She turned around to see what it was but could see nothing and kept on walking.
A spokesman for Medway Police said: "he then heard the same noise again but this time felt a pain in her left arm. She noticed she had a small pellet sized hole in her top, but could not see a pellet.
"A little later she checked her arm where she had been hit and noticed a bruise about an inch in diameter and also a slight graze mark."
Another student, also 18, was walking through the same car park with her mother, between 5.15pm and 5.30pm, when she heard a bang like a firecracker.
The police spokesman added: "She felt a slight pain on her ankle and noticed a small mark but did not see anyone although she believes the noise may have came from a building behind the car park."
Anyone who may have seen something or who may have information in connection with this incident is asked to contact Medway Police on 01634 884252 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
