A cash machine was stolen from Brands Hatch race circuit

Two men have been charged with stealing a cash machine from Brands Hatch race circuit.

Jason Maurice Reader, 37, David Ronald Wilson, 40, are accused of the theft early on Thursday.

A stand-alone cash machine was stolen at just before midnight and loaded into a van. It is not known how much cash was taken.

Reader, of Valley Drive, Gravesend, and Wilson, of no fixed address but previously from Maidstone, were arrested in the car park of a hotel in Haven Court Road, Gravesend.

The pair are also accused of taking a vehicle without consent.

A van, believed to have been stolen, was recovered by police along with the cash machine.

Reader and Wilson have been remanded in custody after an appearance at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday.
