DETECTIVES are searching for two men after an incident in which a 40-year-old man was shot and wounded.
Police officers were called to Carlton Avenue, Greenhithe, near Dartford, following reports of gun shots at about 9.20am last Thursday.
The victim was taken to Darent Valley Hospital with injuries to his arm. He has since been released from hospital.
Police believe that two black men were responsible for the shooting. They were seen with a small silver car with false number plates.
The men are described as being around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10in tall and of slim build. They were in dark clothing, and believed to be in their early 20s.
Det Ch Insp Anne Brittain said: "We particularly want to speak to anyone who may have seen the two men in the area at the time of the shooting and would urge witnesses to come forward.
"Carlton Avenue is a busy road and there would have been a number of people about. We believe that these two men were waiting for the victim so could have been in the area for some time before 9.20am.
"They may also have visited Carlton Avenue on previous occasions before March 1."
