ARMED police officers surrounded a house after reports that two men had been seen carrying a gun.

Police arrested two men, believed to be in their early 20s, at a property in Barnsole Road, Gillingham, just after 3pm on Saturady.

Neighbours in nearby Trafalgar Street, called the police after spotting two men allegedly brandishing a gun. Barnsole Road was closed to pedestrians and traffic while police dealt with the incident.

The men were still being questioned on Sunday evening.
