Two people arrested following the death of a Margate man last week have been released on police bail.

Darren Turner, 36, was found with multiple stab wounds in Wilderness Hill, Cliftonville, last Tuesday and died in hospital the same day.

A 43-year-old woman from Westgate-on-Sea and a 42-year-old Margate man have been bailed until Thursday, May 21, pending a decision to prosecute.

One man has been charged with Mr Turner's murder.

Sean Maher, of Canterbury Road, Margate, was remanded in custody by magistrates in the town on Friday morning.

The 20-year-old will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, April 20.

A 16-year-old boy arrested as part of the inquiry has been released without charge.
