Two rescued in Strood house blaze

Two men were rescued from a house fire in Strood this morning.

One, a 25-year-old, was discovered unconscious in the hallway of the home in Albatross Avenue, and dragged to safety.

Two crews attended the fire in a front room at around 4.40am.

The two men suffered from smoke inhalation, and were taken to hospital.
