X-File agents Mulder and Scully might want to think about conducting an investigation in to UFO sightings in Medway.
A new dossier released by the Ministry of Defence has revealed that a number of unidentified objects have been seen in the skies over the Medway Towns since 1997.
The most recent sighting was logged in Rainham at 8.10pm on November 6, 2008.
A brief description of the sighting reads: "A UFO, that looked like a yellowy light. The object was quite near and fairly low in the sky. There was no sound."
On March 28, 2008 at 8.20pm there was a sighting in Rainham.
The log reads: A huge disc shaped object. Approximately 20 times the size of an aeroplane. It had five or six flashing lights on the underneath in a circular shape."
The dossier was released just one week after it emerged the RAF has tried to shoot down UFOs under instructions form the MoD.
And last month is was claimed that a UFO ripped a 60ft blade off a wind farm turbine in Lincolnshire.
Hundreds of witnesses reported hearing an ear-splitting bang at 4am.
The November 8 UFO in Rainham was spotted by
Maria Jarvis, a neighbourhood watch co-ordinator. Miss Jarvis contacted the Ministry of Defence following her sighting.
Other people called Rochester Airport puzzled by what they had seen or heard.
Miss Jarvis was in her garden when she saw the strange light in the sky at about 8.10pm.
She said: "It was like a searchlight but it was not white enough. It was more yellow.
"I was listening for the sound of a plane or a helicopter. I thought it might have been a satellite but it was just too big."
Miss Jarvis, of Brown Street, said the globe-shaped light, which did not fade as it moved, was very low and moved smoothly from the south to the north.
She added: "It was so low that if it was a plane you would have heard it."
