A newly-wed couple have cast light on the host of UFOs spotted over Broadstairs recently.

The bright formations in the night sky were in fact part of the nuptials of Bradley Jennings, 35, and Vikki-Anne Collins, 26.

The St Peter's couple were married in Vikki’s mum’s garden in The Ridgeway and they celebrated their union with a Tao ceremony based on ancient eastern spiritual and philosophical concepts.

Part of the celebrations included guests lighting oriental lanterns and casting them skywards as a way of sending messages of goodwill to the heavens.

Mr Jennings said: “It was a way of inviting our friends to lend their energy to our wedding.

“It was an altogether amazing day.”
