A man has been charged with theft after more than 20 wing mirrors were snatched from cars in Gillingham.

Scott Ryan, 19, of Carrington Close, Gillingham, has also been charged with a burglary.

Police launched an investigation after at least 23 motorists reported their wing mirrors disappeared from cars in the Gillingham South area and by the river.

A variety of cars were targeted, ranging from Minis, Audis, BMWs and Mercedes.

Ryan has been released on police bail and will appear before Medway magistrates on Friday, April 1.
