RUSH hour traffic was brought to a halt today when a lorry collided with a van on the M2 motorway.

The driver of a Nissan van was taken to hospital after fire crews cut him free from the wreckage at about 7am.

Police are investigating the incident which caused traffic jams in the coastbound lane at junction three at Chatham.

Police said that nobody else was injured in the accident.
