Trees in a nature reserve have been sawn down by vandals who also damaged nearby allotments.

The vandals, thought to be youths, cut down two trees and stole and destroyed wooden pallets used by plot owners in the allotments off Lower Rainham Road, Rainham.

Owners of plots on Berengrave Chalk Pit allotment are now calling for proper fencing to stop the vandals getting in from the neighbouring Berengrave Nature Reserve.
