Vicious gang attacks on consecutive nights

A 16-year-old boy was attacked twice in as many nights by groups of people carrying weapons.

In the first attack, the victim, who is from Strood, was chased by a gang of five or six men who had got out of a Ford Fiesta car. He was hit with baseball bats, punched and kicked.

The offenders were all aged between 17 and 18 and one was of foreign appearance.

The following night he was attacked by a larger group of around 12 men carrying various weapons at Quality Kebabs in Bligh Way, Strood. His attackers ran off after the assault.

One of the second group matched the description of the foreign man involved in the first attack. An S-registration Ford Fiesta was also seen.

Anyone with information about the attacks, whch took place at 11pm on Wednesday, August 16, and between 9.30pm and 10pm the following night, are asked to contact police on 01634 884138 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
