POLICE have released details of three people killed in a helicopter crash in Knockholt, near Sevenoaks, at the weekend.

The three who died have been named as Mark Price, aged 39, his wife Jean, aged 33, and their 14-month-old son, Samuel, who were all from Chessington in Surrey. Post mortem examinations were due to be carried out today.

Emergency services were called to the incident at just before 10am on Saturday.

The three-seater Hughes 500 aircraft had crashed in a field in Cudham Lane South, Knockholt, shortly after taking off from Biggin Hill Airfield.

No-one else was on board and the aircraft’s destination is not yet known.
