Lions may be the kings of the jungle, but this big cat is
certainly destined for higher things.
Petra, a European Lynx, certainly looks happy as she is pictured
jumping for joy.
The seven-year-old, who was born in captivity, is renowned for
showing off her power and prowess by leaping up to four metres in
the air to grab meaty treats.
The stunning beast is certainly no stranger to being on film,
being an unwanted big cat from the film industry.
Since her move to the Wildlife Heritage Foundation big cat
sanctuary in Smarden she has been bouncing back, and has gained
many fans.
Being imprinted she often prefers human company to that of other
big cats and is happy to welcome visitors to her enclosure.
Volunteer Andy Porter said: “She quite enjoys jumping because
she used to be in the film industry. She was in one film, but
to our benefit, she wasn’t suited to the industry - like many other
people - so she is now with us.”
