Video: Political leaders
in election sty-le race. By Ruth Banks
Britain's political leaders are going the whole hog when it
comes to fighting the election race.
But who will be hamming it up on May 7 - and who will be
wallowing in the political wilderness?
Well, staff at Kent Life in Sandling have come up with a very
unscientific way of pitching the leaders against each other - in a
piglet race.
The farm attraction is pitting three piglets - aptly named
Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Nick Clegg - against each other in
a bid to win the election race.
One was chosen for his temper, one for his high pedigree and the
other because he tried to make friends with both of the others.
But as our reporter lined up at the start of a race, she was
desperate to see who would be declared the runt.
Excitement abounded, with all three clearing the expenses hurdle
- proving MPs can keep their noses out of the trough - before
encountering a double dip in the track.
But it was Gordon Brown who gave the most crackling performance
- winning two of the races on the day we filmed.
David Cameron took one win, with Nick Clegg trailing in
third.
But before Brown makes too rasher decision to declare victory
the three have to wait until election day before the overall race
tally is announced at Kent Life.
Then someone can crack open the swine!
