Video: Last footage of Kent soldier killed in Afghanistan

A Kent soldier who died in Afghanistan on Saturday was filmed on patrol in Helmand Province just weeks ago.

In the clip above, L Cpl James Johnson, known to his friends as Jimmy, tells of the difficult tasks that faced him and his colleagues on a daily basis as they provided security to the town of Lashkar Gah.

He also said: "It is really long hours out here, all of the patrols and operations, the heat and the dust and all of the kit is physically just hard. But you know you have to stay alert and keep the guys alert."
