Audio: Mick Jagger on his
memories of school days
He added: "I'm glad this project is still going on and it's due
to the hard work of all the people who throughout the years have
been putting a lot of time and effort into this and to be honest I
really appreciate your words of praise but to be honest, my role's
probably the easiest of all of them.
"I've been given a very warm welcome here today, was taken into
the headmaster's office.
"It's always difficult to enter that room without feeling a pang
of some sort of guilt, what have you done wrong?
"But I was made to feel really at home, given cups of tea, cake,
so I really feel back at home in Dartford Grammar School."
More than 10,000 people have enjoyed shows at the centre, which
has a theatre and recording studios.
There are 20 performing arts groups who train there every week
and the Red Rooster project teaches Dartford primary school
children how to play musical instruments.
