A sixth form student is proving
natural is beautiful after getting through to the final three in a
beauty competition with a difference.
Florence Colegate, from Deal, was
among more than 8,000 people who entered a competition to find
Britain's most naturally beautiful people on Lorraine Kelly's ITV
morning show.
The title of the competition,
Lorraine:naked, has nothing to do with models taking their clothes
off - it highlights beauty without make-up or botox and definitely
no cosmetic surgery.
The judges have chosen three finalists
in the 18 to 40 age category and three from the age 41 and above
who have a good personality and are 100% natural.
Florence, an 18-year-old Dover Grammar
School student, is now hoping to scoop the top prize.
She said: "I saw the competition on
television and decided to go in for it. I hope as many people as
possible will vote for me, so that I have a chance of winning."
Florence, of Bowling Green
Lane, is due to appear on the Lorraine programme either
today or tomorrow before public voting begins on Wednesday.
The top prize is an all-expenses-paid
trip to a modelling shoot in London, to appear on posters in
Superdrug stores across the country and to feature in the shop’s
in-store magazine.
"We are not saying that make-up is a
bad thing, but we are encouraging the natural look," said Lorraine.
"We want people to be proud of their natural features without the
need to enhance them. This is all about the face, so it doesn’t
matter what size or height the finalists are."
People can vote via the Lorraine:naked website.
