Gillingham ended November on a high and now it’s time for you to vote for who you think was the star player of the month.
After successive home defeats against Wycombe, Dover and Crewe the Gills finally came good on the road with back-to-back away wins at Oxford and Barnet.
We’ve narrowed the choice down to six players and we want the KM Group readers to decide who you think deserves this month’s accolade and bottle of champagne.
ADEBAYO AKINFENWA
The big striker looks to be finding his touch again and set up Gillingham’s equaliser at Barnet. He is proving to be a great team players and is helping the less experienced along.
ALAN JULIAN
The Gills keeper came good at the end of the month helping them to a clean sheet in the win at Oxford and making some vital saves to ensure Barnet were also beaten.
CHARLIE LEE
His impact in the middle of the park has been the catalyst to Gills’ improvement. He is quick, strong, skilful and has no fear. His winner at Barnet was the icing on the cake.
CODY McDONALD
The striker has been unfortunate to have only netted once this month but it was certainly memorable. He showed a cool head to slot home the goal that ended 18 months of away-day pain.
TONY SINCLAIR
He may lack experience at this level but he makes up for it in effort. He played through an injury to help the side to a win over Barnet with a sterling job at the back.
CHRIS WHELPDALE
The wide-man has made three impressive appearances and scored two goals already since joining on loan from Peterborough. Their loss has been Gillingham’s gain this month.
