Director of cricket Paul Farbrace wants Kent to show more consistency during the whole of their LV County Championship match against Glamorgan on Tuesday.

Kent have lost their last three county championship games in a row against Northamptonshire, twice, and Gloucestershire.

But Farbrace feels they have finished the last two games stronger than they started them.

He said: “We have had two games in a row in Championship cricket where we have played good cricket in the second half of the game.

“We need to start games in that way. If we start games in the way that we finish them, I would back us to go to Cardiff and get a result.”

Farbrace is pleased Kent are back in action quickly after their defeat to Yorkshire in the Clydesdale Bank 40 at Canterbury on Sunday.

“I think sometimes when you lose you want to play again,” he said. “It means we can keep the boys together and keep working hard.”
