A Jay Saunders brace was enough to give Maidstone a point at Wealdstone in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday.

Saunders put the Stones in front with a header after 59 minutes before the home side hit back with two goals to take the lead.

The equaliser came after 73 minutes when Charlie Mpi was played in, he held off a challenge from James Peacock and slotted past advancing keeper Jamie Turner.

Wealdstone went ahead seven minutes later when Mpi was brought down in the box by Peter Hawkins and Ryan Ashe converted the spot kick.

The lead lasted just a matter of seconds as Saunders struck again for Maidstone with eight minutes left to ensure the visitors returned to Kent with a point.

Two second half goals gave Tonbridge a 2-0 success at Waltham Abbey.

Jean-Michal Sigere's header soon after the break put the Angels ahead before Steve Ferguson added the second.
