The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for much of England, with high winds expected to follow heavy rain.
The weather warning is in place for Kent from 10am to 7pm tomorrow (Thursday), with strong gusty winds expected to follow a brief downpour.
Some transport disruption and flooding is expected, with delays to road, rail, air and ferry routes anticipated.
The Met Office adds that high-sided vehicles may suffer further delays on exposed routes and bridges, and flooding of "a few homes and businesses is possible."
The waters had only just started to subside in areas of west Kent hit last week.
Fire crews attended 13 flood-related incidents in Yalding near Maidstone, and Leigh near Tonbridge.
Today a narrow band of rain, heavy at times and expected to be "briefly intense", will be moving eastwards late on Thursday morning and into the afternoon, clearing Kent during the evening.
